Teaching
Since 2019, Keren has been teaching flying low, contemporary and improvisation classes for both professionals and none professional dancers in dance academies, studios and companies such as De Studio Rotterdam (NL), De Stilte dance company (NL), Den Danske Scenekunstskole (DK), Copenhagen Contemporary Dance School (DK) and Dance MAZE (DK).
She has been also invited to give workshops around various topics such as movement and architecture (ArtEZ academy of Architecture, NL), movement and Karate (Karate-do school, IL) and improvisation based workshops (NL). She was also invited to teach workshops to dance students in The Netherlands based on her repertoire and creation work.
Keren was first introduced to Flying Low and Passing Through during her studies at ArtEZ University by Cristina Leitão. Upon graduating, her interest in floor work and improvisation has led her to participating in several month-long intensives of Flying Low and Passing Through with the techniques’ inventor David Zambrano [PT 2019, GR 2019], supported by the Israeli Fund Mifal Hapais.
Since then, Keren has been teaching flying low inspired classes, combining her knowledge of Flying Low and passing through with other dance practices, improvisation and floorwork, and incorporating more explosive and acrobatic movement.

About the Technique Flying Low
Invented and developed by David Zambrano, ‘Flying Low’ class focuses mainly on the dancer’s relationship with the floor. The class utilizes simple movement patterns that involve breathing, speed and the release of energy throughout the body in order to activate the relationship between the center and the joints, moving in and out of the ground more efficiently by maintaining a centered state. There is a focus on the skeletal structure that will help improve the dancer’s physical perception and alertness. The class includes partnering work and movement phrases, which explore the primary laws of physics: cohesion and expansion.
